While in prep for my thesis film at the BC Film Program, I found myself incredibly depressed by all this needless planning and structure that the teachers insisted were neccessary to make a film. Rules, even simple reasonable ones, make me angry. I was itching to just make a film, which I hadn't done in months.
To cope with this I decided to take three days, whatever actors I could get my hands on, and make a film with no script, no shot list, and a crew of at most two people. The end result came out pretty good, with some lovely synthesizer music thrown in by my good musician friend Eddie Baker. Please enjoy, JUST PLAIN CRAZY.
Our newest short is finally here. I wrote and directed it and Chris helped bring it together and edited. It's my love letter to nonsensical B-movie science fiction full of insane crap. Without further ado:
NIGHT OF THE ROBOT ZOMBIE LESBIANS!!!
Two scientists hate each other and create two titans to kill each other with. Instead of a horrible fight to the death, they make out for our enjoyment. It's also the third movie to have our odd scientist character, Doctor Rembrane, who takes a break from destroying the time-space continuum Lots of work went into making this weird video. Enjoy. Next time we'll give you something that makes more sense.
Hey, everyone. It's been a LOOOOOONG time since the last update, hasn't it? We assure you, folks, we are hard at work day and night getting the next film ready to go and ready to show. Today we have a treat for you. This movie has been a movie long coming. Due to technical difficulties we were unable to show it before, but now here it is for the world to see and say "why?". Behold:
"WHERE ARE YOU?"
A Gaskmask Brothers Misadventure
A tale of two brothers: Gary Gasmask and his elder Brother Gabe. They've been through every job known due to the recession and through it all they've had each others back. In this, they fight a crazy ice cream man named Johnny Wadd.
So sit back and enjoy the bizarreness, we sure did some couple years ago and still do. Stay tuned, we have more fun and strange things coming your way.

"When you're working on your film, you never come home alone." Michael Belmont, aka Mdotstrange.
I've been working on Chainsaw Diaries since august and the hope is to have it done by this coming August. I've been trying to make a feature film since before I could really percieve what that meant. When I was sixteen I saw Mdotstrange's WE ARE THE STRANGE, a bizzare patchwork quilt of a movie. It mad me realize, not only could I make a movie, I would make a movie. Check out his podcast, by the way. http://www.deadlyproductionsrecords.com/podcasts.html
Meanwhile, soon I will be releasing part 1 of The ChainsawDiaries, with the name MOSQUITO SEASON. While the feature film version will contain more scenes and better character development, Mosquito Season will work as a self contained story.
In an effort to boost publicity for the film, we are submitting the first segment of THE CHAINSAW DIARIES, tentatively titled MOSQUITO SEASON to a number of festivals this May. Here's a few shots from the film.
A few scenes were also done using a camera I was able to borrow from my film school.
And while we're posting pictures, here's an old one of me and Nick on our first film together, Creeps, Critters and Croations. This picture makes me laugh. The corpse is Alex Marante, whom I can assure you is alive and well. Alive at least. Look at all that blood. And we didn't get a drop on the carpet.
